Description
The Description is laid out in your website coding and is used by many
search engines to help determine under what search terms your website will
be listed under. Some search engines give your description more value such
as Yahoo and MSN while others such as Google value them less. Google does
however use descriptions to help determine what search terms your website is
listed under but with less value than other search engines.
When determining your brief Description it is important that the content of
your website correlate with what your description is, other wise you will
get spammed by the search engines and few or know one will ever find your
website in the search listings. So if you sell Apples, your description
might say "Apples for sale". If you sell apples only in your website and
your description says you sell oranges, then your site will be listed in
"Outer space" never to be seen in the listings again.
A poor description is the single largest reason why so many websites are
never seen! Don't attempt to be what you are not, or everything to everybody
in your description.
Keep your description simple and very truthful, and you will be rewarded.
